The # that called me was a # with my local area code (likely spoofed) because I don't actually live anywhere near that area code region anymore. I received a voicemail saying it was an urgent message to discuss the consideration of a legal action, including the filing of a lawsuit. To discuss the pending actions, you must contact the firm directly handling your file. Direct # is 888-573-2362. Please reference your file # *. If they fail to receive a response from you, they may be forced to proceed without your participation. They got my last name right, but not the 1st or middle, and said she was calling because the matter had been forwarded to her office, and later says contact the firm handling your case directly. She gives her name in the beginning, but never a company she is with, nor the name of the firm I "should contact directly", only a phone #, which goes nowhere in Google. No thank you. Sounds like BS or phishing to me.

Its some new way of debt collection. They will tell you that you have a pending case against you to collect the debt once the number is forward to the appropriate office. I spoke with an arbitrator to whom helped settle a debt from almost 7 years ago. Its just a debt collector. They stopped calling once I paid the debt.
