This number has called me four times in two days asking for my parents who passed away many years ago. When I tell them this they slam the phone down or try to tell me that I have an unauthorised transaction on my ABSA card. I told them I do not have an ABSA card at which point they cut the call. Definitely spam

Yes this number called my husband too The woman said her is Maria Da Sousa !!! She asked him if he bought a plane ticket to Nigeria for R4000.00 and if he has his Credit card with him. When he said no.she put the phone down on him

I live in Jhb. It is a scam call. I don't know if the 2 incidences are connected but tried to use my card at the ATM last week and machine kept rejecting my pin number. Retrieved my pin on my app (thought I made a mistake) but it was correct. Used my card today with no problems. Half an hour later I got a call from this number saying I made a payment to Nigeria and they want to check if my details are correct. I knew it was rubbish because my card settings don't allow payments, only ATM withdrawal's. Please warn the public out there!

Called 3 times, eventually spoke on 3rd call. Claimed to be Mr Govender from Visa and Mastercard fraud division. Highly unlikely as Visa and Mastercard are separate companies. Aasked to speak to my husband. When I asked if there was a message he hung up. Definitely a SCAM.

Received numerous calls from this number saying they are from Visa and Mastercard Division. Definitely trying their luck to commit fraud. Have also called back but it says the number does not exist. One was a woman by the name of Maria da Sousa with a heavy Indian accent (ha ha ha). Be very careful!

Just called.....Lady with heavy Indian accent telling me an amount of R3500 went off my MasterCard in Nigeria and she was asking if she should reverse.....She became irate when I said which bank...have not used my card in ages.....could feel her irritation.....and said straight....reverse of course to which she slammed down phone with a sarcastic BYE...oy vey ...when I called number back it said it does not exist !!!!!!!
