This number called and stated I had a unpaid credit card debt. I ask who it was with and when the account was open. They could not tell me anything except I needed to take care of it immediately or I would be served documents to appear in court. I believe this to be a scam.

They said they have tried to deliverwant documents to me but no one was at my home, funny thing is my husband is disabled and always at home. So they wanted to come by my home and deliver documents to me. But, they couldn't tell me what kind of documents because they were sealed in an envelope so I asked who they were from. But, they couldn't tell me who they were from even after I asked for the return address information but they couldn't give it to me either.

I received a call from this number. She, the person that answered, said they were with a company called ERG then with further questioning a company called ADEPT and they handle Civil cases. The representative said they had mailed papers to my house that had been returned and needed to get a correct address so they could send the papers certified. She wouldn't give any information regarding the case. I know they were fishing for information. I think they search the business registrations, etc., get the contact information, and see who will respond to their scam. She was very calm and professional about it. I think these people could be VERY dangerous and need to be investigated.
