Someone left a message, "Ken" wants me to return a call for a service I never asked about. It's actually just a recording though. Whoever left the message accidentally let the audio loop back to the start saying "Hey, this is Ken..." before it sounds like panicked button mashing to make the recording stop. I don't have any loans period and zero credit card debt, but the recording presumed I had both. Ironically, the voice sounds unsure, as if he's hoping he got at least one right. This wasn't the number that showed up on my caller ID. They spoofed a fake local number. I hesitate to say you should call the 877 number, as it's clearly a fraudulent operation, but it might be the only way to get them to remove your number. At the same time, they likely won't listen to such a request and may confirm your number as a positive lead for other call centers to use. Yeah and a few days later I had a credit card opened in my name and $2500 worth of bs bought. Luckily I saved and called it thinking coincidence and a lady barely speaking English answered. I got nowhere with her and was really rude. Watch your finances if you get this same voicemail. Could be a coincidence but don't take the chance.
