Called me from a restricted number twice in two weeks. I am certain that I do not owe any back taxes, I assumed spam or the wrong number. However, intentionally blocking a number screams scam to me. Be safe out there everyone! Never return a call claiming to be the IRS, call them directly if you have questions!

This is a spam caller with the same message as noted above. DO NOT give any personal info such as SSN or anything else. They have called me twice now. Little unnerving as I am an anxious person but I went to an h&r block so I know everything is good.

I also received this call. My phone caller id came up restricted caller. I never answer numbers I don't recognize, that's why there is voicemail. or I answer back with the please text me option. I know I don't owe any back taxes, and I also know how the IRS operates. They do not call, they will send certified mail.

They just called me with the same message as listed above. I have severe anxiety so I was pretty concerned I actually owed back taxes. Now after seeing other people got this same call I'm sure it's a scam .

Yes. This was the exact message I got from this caller. Of course I thought it was probably a scam, but it’s natural to think that it’s possible. I could not initially find that it was a scam by doing an internet search until this post.
