A female person rang me asking if I wanted to sell my British Aerospace shares. She has my phone number and address. I asked her how she had my details and it was from the share registry. She asked me if I owned these shares and I told her I did not having sold them some years ago as I do not invest in any weapons companies. I asked why she did not buy shares on the open market and questioned her about why try to buy shares from me when she can buy them online on the open market tomorrow. She sounded very flustered and couldn’t answer my questions and put the phone down. I did not trust this phone call as it is not acceptable to try to buy shares from individuals at any time.
