Said they were from anthem to welcome me to new Medicare plan. Then wanted to verify DOB, address, etc. Told her not comfortable giving info. She gave me her name and ID #. I said I would call back. When I did, greeting said "Care Guide", then clicked over and answered by person who originally called me saying "Anthem". SCAMMERS!!!!

I had just signed up for Anthem. The agent I spoke to was named Cher Timmons, and she gave me her direct number as 833-206-3915. But this number, 833-552-1038 called and did not leave a voicemail, so I googled it and it brought me here. So it could be an Anthem number for someone signing up, but if it would call me again and I answered, I would say I will only speak to Cher at her private number. Always get the name of the operator you talked to and write it down.

Yes, they did call me. I called the insurance company they claimed to represent and the Customer Support agent at their insurance company said they do not call to Welcome new subscribers to this insurance agency. He suspected the caller wanted to reconfirm my information that the insurance company already has and possibly change it for the callers benefit.

Someone called claiming to be from an insurance company and asked if we have everything we needed since we just signed up. Didn’t think to verify who this was, but, they just asked to speak to us. They didn’t ask important questions, such as more than a name and then that was it, said, good-bye.
