These comments do seem reliable. I had just applied for a position with UPS. I had set up two appointments for phone interviews and never got a return phone call. I got three calls within the last three days from unknown numbers asking me to call them back regarding my application with UPS. I’m kind of interested in calling to see what they have to say although from what I’ve read on here I may steer clear from doing that. If I’m asked for my Social Security number I would never give it to anybody over the phone. Thank you for these comments to help myself as well as other people. I will place another comment if I decide to return the call.

It is for a position with UPS and they follow up with your application from this number. My cause of concerns were the people I spoke with spoke very little English and then they needed my SS number over the phone. I wasn’t comfortable doing that and lost my chance with the position. As much as it sucks, UPS needs to find a better way to do their applications/hiring process.
