I did receive a call from this number, asking for the same info as people above said. however, they stated that they were calling from sears.com (i placed an order from kmart.com, same thing) and looked at my email to see they sent me something 45 minutes prior stating i'd get a call to verify.

Not sure how they got my number, but they asked me to describe the item as there was a problem with it. All very vague, they I get a "random" call from "Lowes" 2 days later mentioning that same item I described. So this number uses social engineering to get info you are willing to give, then someone else uses that to "confirm" an item saying it will be cancelled if you don't give you credit card number. Either way, I'm rating as dangerous for this reason.

It was Sears Parts Direct calling to verify that I had placed an online order. I'm not sure why they needed to verify, but whatever. Someone else mentioned Kmart, which is apart of the same company.
