Well done to the Hamilton and Lethbridge commenters. Yes, pure scam. CRA will "NEVER" call you, as in "NEVER". If there are notifications to you, it will be in snail mail or if you log onto CRA account. The call even had GOC label on caller ID. they even went so far as to give an address of 451 talbot street in london ontario, a building that houses rcmp and cra offices.

My call blocker app identifies this call as coming from 4401 Zoo Pkwy, Asheboro, NC, USA. There is an actual zoo there, but both the location and phone number are most probably being spoofed. Not surprising that, if they can get away with it, without the real CRA bothering themselves to try to stop it, that scammers would spoof a CRA number, the better to further the scam.
