This number is calling daily, it's very annoying as I am on a do not call register.surely our government can put a stop to these unsolicited calls

Female caller asking for one off donations for cats and dogs so they won’t be put down. Every time she spoke there was a silent time delay. Nil back ground noise, voice was almost too perfect. I was wondering if it was a real person. I said that I don’t donate over the phone and they could post or email me something. The response was “I can’t answer your question so I will check with my supervisor, don’t hang up”. Then an Indian sounding male came on the phone and in his spiel he made mention of the lovely lady I just spoke to. Then started to ramble off the business abn and other numbers which he wanted me to write down, and go to my computer. He was quite pushy wanting me to go to a web site and pay or send a money order. Just sounded very fishy to me.

Said to be raising money obo Pet Welfare Foundation. Lady was Emily Peters. She was quite nice, but I offered to donate direct to website. Got quite insistent on asking for card details. I asked for website again and again and de put me on hold, then another male came online. He too was insistent on getting card, but also gave me website. 8 minutes later, I hung up. The Pet Foundation is real, but pressure tactics
